Second Hand Instead Of New Unit
I upgraded my cellphone contract with the above mentioned supplier to a Blackberry 9360 in 2013, the very same year in December 2013 the phone went in for repairs and they took over 14 days to provide me with feedback. I had to constantly call and follow up with zero assistance of customer service from the residence in store. In December 2014 the charging point on the phone stopped working and yet again I had to send this phone in for repairs. On collection the lady at the front desk advised me that this was a new unit as the fault was not caused by something I had done. It's now a month that I had collected the phone and noticed that it keeps switching off and I would need to remove the battery to reboot on every occasion. When I removed the battery I noticed a sticker that said \Refurbished Unit"which means that I was not given a new unit but rather a unit that was broken and worked on and dumped on me.This is the ultimate straw for me as I have been a dedicated customer to Vodacom. Not only does this inconvenience me as I go without a phone to use but also it runs my contract bill up as I have to constantly call in to get any feedback. The personnel in store are useless."""
