SCRUPULOUS VODACOM DECEASED ESTATES DEPARTMENT
I was appointed as executrix for my father in law's deceased estate. I advised Vodacom and requested payment due in order to cancel (early cancellation) his contract. At first they advised they are unable to allocate any accounts under his identity number and quite sarcastically that they don't deal with pre-paid accounts. I provided his cell number as well, still not able to allocate. After providing the Vodacom reference number they opted to send the information not to me directly but to another family member. However, the full remaining monthly subscription was charged on top of the handset fee. When requesting for the current contract and where the right is given to charge this as well as breakdown of the subscription charge, all historical contracts were given. After another request only received the current contract with no indication that the full remaining subscription fee will be a reasonable cancellation fee and still no breakdown received. They are tardy in response times.
