***** the customer we are bigger than anyone

Around May 2016 I realised a spike in the usage of one of my company's data contract, after approaching Nortgate Branch I was advised to load a "soft cap", which I did. From around June 2016 all was okay until March 2017 when i was billed about R12,000 for data. When I approached the Northgate branch again I was told that there was a software upgrade internally and they lost my "soft cap" status on my acct profile. I then logged a query, while waiting, April and May bills came at about R17,000 & R19,000. I went back and also managed get the bank to reverse the last bill of R19,000. After logging another query a Support Manager called me to tell me it is not Vodacom's problem that the acct is excessively charged but my responsibility. After explaining that I took necessary steps to load "soft cap" he said he doesn't care it is still my responsibility to check my monthly my usage, despite telling him that this is impossible as this card is one of the 6 cards, 2 laptops and 3 cell phone contracts that my company has taken for consultants who work on the field. Eventually I had to cancel about 7 contracts and move to another service provider. The problem is that I get a statement with about R30,000 balance and when trying to pay for the 3 X contracts (which are still outstanding, contracts to expire in December 2017) I am told it is not possible as the money will not be allocated to the 3 specific accounts as the money will go into repaying the R30,000 first (which I have a query). So, no one wants to address this matter, instead I am now being told I will be blacklisted if I don't pay the R30,000 in full. Needless to say that I had been a loyal customer since 1998 and have a company that had not skipped a 1 month payment when this happened, still not big enough to be considered a Customer I guess.
