screen repair

I have a 6 month old contract huawei G7 cellphone and i was referred to the vodacom repair shop as my cellphone screen has cracked and i wanted to take it to repairs with vodacom as i am their 5 years loyal customer and when i got to the repair shop i was told that my cellphone cannot be fixed it will only be quoted as a replacement phone as in pay in a full amount of a new cellphone while i'm in a 24 month contract with vodacom. the assistant also mentioned that vodacom doesn't have spare parts for cellphones and it was as if like my phone was not in a working condition,while it is and only needs a screen replacement. i know i have to pay for that replacement but what is the use of having a repair shop while you are choosy on cellphones brands. also when you want customers to sign up on contracts your assistants don't explain this things because if they did i wouldn't have taken the phone in the first place. i will be cancelling my contract and take it where i will be valued as a customer, i'm not happy at all.
