Scary incompetence PURPOSELY DAMAGING my business
On 23 January 2026, Vodacom ECC CLO wrote to me with feedback from its ***** Department:
“The person that communicated with you via Whatsapp was a **** and needs to be reported to the police.”
I followed Vodacom’s instruction and reported the matter to SAPS.
In that SAME email, Vodacom stated that its ***** Department was still investigating the separate migration matter.
Now, on 7 September 2026 — almost eight months later — Vodacom tells me:
“the ***** Department has not confirmed ***** on the account”
and, incredibly:
“the account will therefore remain suspended until the dispute investigation has been finalized.”
Vodacom, please explain this.
What exactly has your ***** Department been investigating for almost eight months?
Are you now reversing what your own ***** Department told me in January about the WhatsApp ****, or are you confusing that matter with the separate migration investigation?
Despite months of correspondence and my cooperation, I have never been properly questioned by the ***** Department about the central circumstances of the ****.
Yet my line has now been suspended while Vodacom itself admits that the dispute investigation IS STILL NOT FINALISED.
This is my business and personal telephone line. I depend on it for clients, bookings, suppliers, authentication and essential communications. The suspension is now actively interfering with my ability to conduct business.
I have provided documentation, followed Vodacom’s instruction to report the matter to SAPS and waited for months for this investigation to be resolved.
Enough.
I require:
• Immediate restoration of my line.
• A proper explanation of what has actually been investigated since January.
• An explanation reconciling Vodacom’s written statement of 23 January with its completely different position of 7 September.
• Confirmation that all collection activity relating to the disputed amount has stopped.
This matter is now being formally escalated to ICASA together with Vodacom’s written correspondence.
If Vodacom continues to keep my line suspended, I will document and include all demonstrable business losses and damages resulting from the continued loss of service in my escalation and any further action.
I do not want another automated or generic response saying that the matter is “under investigation”.
After almost eight months, I want ANSWERS, ACCOUNTABILITY AND MY LINE RESTORED.
