I bought 3 Apple Watch series 6 on the 8th of January from Vodacom lakeside mall on contract. on purchase me and my husband were told that the watch had 12 month warranty. The watch was working fine and charging until the 16th of January when the battery went low it didn’t want to charge. I managed to go to Vodacom lakeside mall to report it then I was told to book it in for repairs but when I went upstairs to the repairs department I was told that they don’t fix apple watches so I should take it to istore because they are responsible for the warranty. On Sunday the 24th I went to istore Eastgate to report but I was told that I must pay a booking fee of 200 then the device will be assessed and a quote will follow for me to accept or decline for repairs. I then asked about the warranty then I was told by the operations manager Mini Mabe that its Vodacom’s warranty and not theirs since I didn’t buy the device from them but from Vodacom. I then went to Vodacom Eastgate and reported the matter. The guy who was assisting went with me to istore and they still said the same thing that if I bought the watch from them then I was not going to pay because the assessment fee and repairs are covered by their warranty which included icare..Vodacom is telling me istore needs to honour the warranty and istore is telling me Vodacom is the one that needs to honour the warranty. I even emailed Herman the manager of Vodacom repairs still nothing.
