I had a deal with Vodacom that I was very happy with. So a few months ago I received a call from an agent, offering me a special deal which would save me about R30/month, and receive the same benefits. The offer also included Microsoft Office software free for 2 years; who wouldn't accept such a sweet deal? The agent told me that the Office software and my new contract would be couriered to me. Sure enough, about a week later, I receive a package containing the office software, but no contract, so I phone customer care (no, they don't really care) to request a copy of my contract. After speaking to many different people, and several calls later; still no contract. To cut the story short, I have still not seen any contract, but my benefits have been halved. I eventually sent a letter to the CEO, and after a long time, received a reply from Thato Chuene telling me that it was a mistake, tough luck, and game over. Thato Chuene has still not responded to my last email. Although I know I will win eventually, it frustrates the hell out of me that I have to make so many phone calls and send emails and write letters like this, just because someone cannot do their job properly, and nobody gives a damn!
