****med by Vodacom

I receives a call from a company called rewards.co on behalf of vodacom, and the person that called told me that because i have been such a good paying customer of vodacom from 2012 with no skipped payment, vodacom would like to thank me and send me a gift at no cost. At first i was unsure if i want to listen to the lady because i thought aish they want to sell me something again, but i just gave the lady a chance and she explained nicely that this is a gift at no charge to my account, so i got so excited and i kept on confirming many times in the call that you are sure this is free because i do not want another contract i already have two with vodacom and if its a new contract i do not want it. The lady assured me that it is a free gift even at the end of the call. The gift arrived and i was so pleased and my family also loved it, few days later i checked my statement on my vodacom app and then i noticed a new contract was added to my account, so i call vodacom immediately to ask what was going on because i did not take a new contract with them, i was told i did take a new 24 month contact through rewards.co, i was shocked and told them the story. The consultant connected me to the rewards.co line and i spoke and a case was loggen where i requested that they retrieve the call and listen to it as i continuously asked the consultant that i will not accept it if it is a new contract and i was told it was a gift. Fast forward the call was retrieved and they found that i was telling the truth, that the consultant did say it is a gift and its at no charge to me. Now i am told i have to return the goods as it was a mistake and if i do not return it then i will be charged. I really feel that my consumer rights were violated and i was ****med into accepting a contract by force. i can not be offered a gift and after myself and the family have fell in love with it and been using it, we must sent it back. i did approach vodacom for anything and they contacted me, so why must i suffer. I am really not happy and i feel this is what they are getting away with, forcing people into taking contracts by selling us lies. I do not thing i should pay for it nor return it because they said it is a gift even after i multiple times asked if it is really for free.

Kind regards Very unhappy long standing client

To whom it may concern
It is unfortunate that to this date my matter has not been handle and my account has been debited for something i did not agree to.
I have been a loyal good customer of vodacom since 2012 and have always recommended people to use vodacom as i trust their services, but now i am disappointed.
