****med by Cancellation Consultant

Gosh I cant believe I have been ****med by a vodacom cancellation consultant. I called to cancel. I know the person on the other end of the phone needs to convince me not to cancel and thats fine. To save his time and mine, I told him I was canceling no matter what. So he offers me 20GB of data for R65.00 per month. Ok so at this point you are thinking I am an idiot for falling for this but to be fair I told him this can't be true. He assured me it was true - several times because I kept asking the same thing over and over. 'This cant be for real. 20GB per month for R65 per month!" "Yes, Madam. That is correct." Or words to that affect. Well, I thought, these calls are recorded so he cant be lying and perhaps Vodacom really dont want to lose their customers. He also said I would get R65 airtime. I received the data almost immediately but not the airtime. Well with 20GB of data for R65, I wasn't going to complain about the airtime. When my data disappeared, I went to query what had happened at the Vodacom store at Northgate. I have to say that everyone at this branch are amazing; so professional and helpful. But they had to delivery the news to me that I had been **** to. My beef at this point is not with Vodacom per say, this could be just one rogue employee. Certainly everyone at the branch was lovely as was the admin lady Mpho who I called to explain what had happened. She told me that all the calls are recorded and that they will cancel my contract once they have verified that what I have said is true. I am going to believe that Vodocom will do the right thing and when they do, I shall write a wonderful review as its is only this one consultant who has done me wrong - everyone else has been great.
