Samsung S23fe

I tried to upgrade to a Samsung S23fe in December 2024. To date (mid February 2025) there is no stock. However, Vodacom continues to advertise that particular phone. Help me to understand how that works, please.

Dear Customer, Thank you for the time and effort taken to voice your dissatisfaction to our office. It is with the cooperation and feedback from valued clients such as yourself that we are able to identify any areas of improvement within our organisation. As per discussion in 2025-02-10 at 10:36:39, please note we have tried contacting you again twice afterwards however failed to reach you.

We have been in contact with the Store (Chene) and she has provided us with feedback which is as follows:

The client came to the store in December 2024, to do an upgrade from her current handset (Samsung S20 FE) to a Samsung S23 FE. The customer requested that the new contract must be on the most affordable package for her and in alignment with her current monthly tariff. I did a quotation on the Samsung S23FE, that was in the price range as the customer requested. The customer signed the quotation, and I informed the customer that there is limited stock, and that the device is EOL (End of Life), but we will try and order and keep her informed. The Daily device showed that there was limited stock available of the S23FE and it was marked as EOL (End of Life). When we tried to order there was no stock available, the customer was informed accordingly, as she was when signing the quotation, and she confirmed that she was prepared to wait to see if there will be stock at a later stage. In January the customer came to the store to follow up, there was still no Samsung S23FE available, and she said she will wait to see what deals are available in February as the current deals of January, was too expensive for her. In February I advised the client that the only option available is the Samsung S24 or S24 Fe for R759 per month, as there is still no stock available of the S23 FE, but it was too expensive for the customer as it was more expensive as the S23FE, hence we did not order the device the S24FE. The customer had complained to me, that how can Vodacom advertise a phone if they are unable to supply the specific device. I advised, to the best of my ability, that some dealers might still have stock in channel and Vodacom will keep on advertising until the stock in channel has been depleted. The client come back to the store, after calling Vodacom, and asked me why I did not create an order on C3D, as the consultant from Vodacom, she spoke to, advised her that I did not create an order. I explained to her that I created a quote and that I can only move the quote to order once I have received the device, as I would need the IMEI to do an order. The quotation was done on the Samsung S23 FE that is still not available to order as it is EOL (End of Life).
