Samsung repair centre
Terrible service from vodacom and Samsung repair centre. I went to vodacom in gateway mall on 3 June 2023. I had purchased a phone on a vodacom contract on 31 December 2022 and the phone just went off so I took it in for repairs. I was told if I took the phone in to Samsung it would take about a week but with vodacom up to 1 month. I didn't have the time to go to Samsung so I agreed to leave it at vodacom and wait up to 1 month. I received a call from vodacom approximately 2 weeks later so I was happy and went to collect my phone on 20/06/2023. When they opened the phone from the bubble wrap it had multiple scratches and the screen was cracked. (My phone had 1 scratch prior to me taking it in which the consultant ticked the box when he took the phone in). Vodacom had asked me to take it to Samsung but i didn't want any issues as this was between vodacom and Samsung, so they said they would send it back to Samsung (the person I spoke to wasn't sure if warranty would be void due to cracked screen so they would find out what Samsung had to say). On June 30 I received an sms from Samsung saying my repair has been completed and I can collect my device but when I went to vodacom they said it hadn't arrived and the claim was between ram couriers and Samsung but they will keep us updated. 2 weeks ago on 16/07/2023, I received a phone call from vodacom saying that they haven't forgotten and they should be calling me during the course of the week. I have heard nothing since then. This is ridiculous, I'm paying for 2 months for a phone I don't have. My 6 month old phone has been scratched and damaged by the supposedly professional repair technician yet all I get is a sorry it's Samsungs fault and they are claiming from ram couriers. This should not be my problem, I should have my phone replaced as it was just 6 months old, what happens between Samsung, ram couriers and vodacom thereafter should not be my problem
