Samsung J3 screen - Refuse to repair or replace.

Good day

I would like to report a problem with my Samsung J3 screen. I received my phone on 21 December 2016 a few days after I received it I noticed the screen flickers while I?m typing a message.

This happened a few times. On the 6th of January 2017 I used my phone and placed it back in my handbag, when I removed it to check something the screen didn?t want to respond.

I got home thinking the battery might be down, when I connected the charger I saw the screen was cracked. I did not bump it, press against it or let it fall. I have a gel plastic cover and a glass screen protector on witch I bought from Vodacom. I checked to see if there is any marks or cracks on the phone?nothing!

I had this phone 20 days.

I sent this email to Vodacom Repair Escalations.

I sent my phone in via Secunda Vodacom to Nelspruit Repair center for assessment. I phoned the Repair center now and they said they sent the phone back with a Quotation!!!

I am sorry but I did not break bump or let my phone fall!!, I had the phone not even 20 days. I want to cancel my contract because I will not be liable for repairs to the phone. This is the first time I ever take out a contract on my name and from the start I was unhappy about the service I received. On the first time the person phoned me to get all the details for the contract I specifically told him twice that I want to keep my old number, as I understand he had to just activate my number as an contract. That did not happen either. I wanted to do like a sim swap and I was told that it was possible, only to find out that it is not possible.

I want a new phone or cancel my contract? I will not pay for something I did not break. Sorry but the phone's screen started to flicker when I received it and as I stated below I did not break it. There is no damaged bumps falls or nothing not even the glass screen protector is cracked.

The only response i got from them was that i must have damaged the phone myself. they will not replace or repair the LCD.

Please help!!!
