Samsung A5 - Screen repairs

I upgraded my cell contract earlier this year. I took a Samsung A5 and was assured by the sales person that the A5 is indeed covered by Samsung for a screen repair and liquid damage. I went to Samsung to have my phone repaired only to establish that my model is not covered and only certain models are covered. I am extremely frustrated considering that 2 consultants at the Vodacom 4 U in Bryanston Nicol Way advised me otherwise. Had I have known this; I would have taken my normal Samsung S series. Vodacom must train their staff properly to provide accurate information to customers. It ****s the reputation of Vodacom and the store when a consultant that is not properly trained creates a bad image on the branch and Vodacom. Now I have to pay for the screen repairs as Samsung would like to quote me. I have had problems in the past when upgrading thus I am always sceptical to upgrade. The last time when I upgraded, incorrect information was passed onto me regarding my data usage and had a huge bill to pay. Once my contract comes to an end and having being a client for more than 12 years with Vodacom, I will be sure to cancel this time around. Rest Assured.
