Same problem with all their phones when you send it in!
I sent in my samsung s6edge earlier this year and they said i need to pay in R5000 for water damage. The phone works perfectly fine when its on charge but as soon as you plug it out it switches off. How is it water damage then? The phone is now still being paid for coz its on contract but its just laying here. Every other phone vodacom has given me with whatever problem it has, they come up with the same stupid excuse of water damage! I eventually bought a new j5 prime from them also on contract but ever since we got to durban the phone is giving me problems. The center button doesnt work and the back button keeps going off by itself. Took it to a vodacom in durban and the lady there told me i have to take both my phones back to vodacom in kimberely because its factory faults. My j5 fell last night and now im afraid to take it in coz of the few scratches on it coz i know they are gonna come up with some excuse again. The brand new wifi with new sim card we bought from them also gave us trouble in the begining, phoned customer care and everything eventually we took it in to vodacom and they told us its a sim card problem and they need to do a sim swap. They still had the nerve to tell us we have to pay for the sim swap... we refused and eventually they just gave us the new sim. Have been with vodacom for years and years now and we have alot of contracts taken out with them but i dont recall us ever not having problems with vodacom.
