Sales people lie
In September I was upgraded in error as the employee that spoke to me misrepresented the facts and did not tell me that it was an upgrade. I had told him that I do not want to upgrade but he did it anyway. It took me weeks to sort this out so that I could cancel the upgrade. On 20 December I contacted Vodacom again requesting that they change my contract to prepaid. The person I spoke to said if I do this I risk losing my number if I do not keep it active with use. He suggested making a change to what I currently get as I got data and wanted airtime. He assured me that it was not an upgrade. It was just an adjustment to what I was currently getting. I explained to him that I had been upgraded in error previously and it took me forever to sort that out. He assured me again that this would not happen and it would not be an upgrade. He said I could upgrade it any time and this would not be a problem. Before contacting him when checking it said that I was eligible for an upgrade but now when I check it says an upgrade is in process. So basically he **** and again I am in the same position as previously when I was upgraded without my permission. I will be laying a complaint under the Consumer Protection Act as it is the second time this has happened and it is ******* to do this. I would like someone to Contact me to confirm that this upgrade will now be cancelled again. I have the person’s full name that I spoke to and the time and today that I made the call.
