Running around in circles with Vodacom

Can one experience greater frustration, once the ineptitude of the Vodacom SP sets in? Probably not! Having just returned from being abroad, I have been inundated with calls from a firm of attorneys in JHB....it appears that the geniuses at Vodacom have handed me over...wait for it...for a number that was/is not mine!! Countess calls to Vodacom, over a period of 2 months now have been met with a plethora of nonsense and useless feedback, which has left me no closer to getting this matter resolved, until today...I thought. Spoke to a "helpful" lady who could not trace the number they have handed me over for, on my profile, and advised that I send an affidavit etc to their ***** division, as this must "clearly be a ********** case"....get given the email ID for their ***** division and am feeling that I am getting somewhere at long last...only thing is, the email doesn't accept incoming mail...unbelievable?? Oh...and did I mention that they have taken the liberty of listing me on a credit bureau for their mistake...incredible!! These guys are masters of hammering you into a state of despondency, as it becomes simply impossible to continue banging your head against this wall of ineptitude. Let see if they actually take the time to respond to this and actually sort the matter out??

Update on this matter.

I was contacted by Vodacom's "Hello Peter Team" and was assisted by a rather diligent chap.
The fact of the matter is that Vodacom had reassigned a number, I used to own around 15 years ago (and which was cancelled), to another subscriber, This person failed to pay their account and so Vodacom, in their wisdom, decided to hand me over to their attorneys instead of the current owner of the number???
Took me around 3 weeks and multiple calls with their "Hello Peter team", after I had resorted to using this portal to vent my frustration (spent around 2 months before this with their customer "service: team) to eventually have their legal geniuses work out that they had, in fact, made a serious blunder.

The last comment made, by Vodacom, was that they would now retract this case, inform their outsourced legal company and delist me from whatever credit bureau they have listed me on.
As at the time of writing this note, the Vodacom attorneys are still harassing me (much to my amu*****t) and I wait in anticipation for Vodacom to confirm that they have in fact put this massive administrative **** up, to bed. I wonder if a serious apology will be forthcoming.....or does just handing folk over and listing them just appear to be too easy in the environment we live in. Lets see how long it takes them to conclude.

Its the 4th November and Vodacom are yet to sort their mistake out????
Infrequent follow up calls received, with lots of "lip service" but no end to this absurd matter.

Come on Vodacom....you have made a serious blunder, by your own admission...now sort this out!!!!!!!

Dear Vodacom,

Please do not be presumptuous and assume that my query has been resolved!!
It has to date, not been resolved, despite written indication from yourselves, on 18 November 2019.....we are now in March 2020....incredible!!!

It is clear that no-one really gives a hoot.....probably easier to push the consumer from pillar to post until they actually just give up and go away....???

Please don't respond to this note with one of your flippant answers....its just lip service in any event. I have resorted to alternate methods to have this issue (VODACOMS FAULT LEST I REMIND YOU!!!!) sorted out.

I will be migrating to another SP....not that your competitors are perfect, but maybe they just might listen to their customers.
