Rude Telephonic Sales Staff

I was contacted on Tuesday by a sales representative to renew my data plan and device contract.

The sales representative spoke incredibly fast and constant.

I work in a restaurant kitchen, and had only answered the call as I was waiting for an important call.

I tried explaining to him that I am unable to take the sales call, I am at work and it would be better to give me a call on Thursday when I am at home. He went on about how it was important and about my money and and...

The more I told him that it was not a convenient time and I could not take a lenghthy call the more he went on. He also insisted that I step outside as the environment was too noisy, which I explained I cannot leave the area. I had my employer moving in and out of the area and did not want trouble.

So finally I had to cut him off. The sales representative had phone back again today, making sure I take note of the fact that I cut him off, but he does not take into account I asked him to please call at a more convenient time over and over.

We started going over the info of were we had ended the conversation. I asked him if it would be alright if I sort it out after I have gone to Vodacom store as I need to take out a new contract due to my phone being ****** (I am using a Old Samsung Tablets friends have loaned to me)

I explain if I can take the R109 and put it towards a cellphone contract I would rather not renew the data plan. My situation has changed and my data usage will be less. He hardly gives me chance to speak as he is constantly interuppting and not listening to what I am saying. He keeps explaining it has nothing to do with my cellphone contract and they arent changing anything.

The point is, I do not need rude call centre staff to call and force a renewal down my throat. If I want to consider doing somthing else with (even a R109) that is my business. I understand your service of making it accessible and easier for the customer by contacting us, taking away the need to go instore, but then your staff need to understand that a call cannot always be accepted and taken when it suites THEM!.

Then put the phone down in MY EAR because I am the rude one? by telling him he is not listening to what I am saying and not giving me a proper chance to speak and explain my situation as to why I will consider going into Vodacom myself and having a look at the additonal cost of another contract to replace my phone. I do not need to explain my financial dicisions to a stranger. This is not professional nor appreciated.

I hope you can trace this person if you at all contact me for my Telephone number and have a look at calls logged from you call centres to my number.
