Rude Call Center. Query not resolved.

I just phoned Vodacom to check on my order status for my upgrade. I don't know if the operator was having a bad day but she was extremely RUDE from the start to the end of the call which a colleague of mine heard and even commented on. I queried the fact that I have misplaced my ID book and asked if my Drivers license will be an acceptable proof of identification along with my proof of residence as this is accepted in stores. A drivers licences is an acceptable proof of identification in all aspects of life so this should not be a problem. The response was " Get an affidavit" to which I then asked well would it not be possible to collect the phone in stores then where my drivers licence will be accepted as I do not have time to get an affidavit before the phone is delivered and her reply with major attitude was " Well when they drop the phone off you can try with them". What a waste of time this call was as my question still has not been answered and now my day has been ruined by the disgusting attitude of this staff member! The drivers time will be wasted if they arrive and they don't want to accept my Drivers Licence which is just stupid. Sort this out Vodacom before more peoples time is wasted. Preferably get people to answer phones who have manners!

Dear Vodacom Thank you for your generic response that you post on every complaint. My query could have actually been solved here had you taken the time to give a **** about your customers. This mood can be attributed to your staffs disgusting attitude towards customers. Please do forgive me if I'm not excited to talk to another one of your consultants after the charming and useless experience I had this morning... Just for the record a Drivers License also has a barcode, the same one an ID has (surprise!)... If the name and picture on the drivers license matches the person receiving the phone at the address provided which is the address of proof of residence that is provided surely the people who deliver the phone are smart enough to know its not *****. Drivers or ID should be accepted...

Dear Vodacom Your customer care person phoned me on Friday and assured me my online order would be cancelled by 4pm on Friday. I went instore to do the upgrade on Saturday and was told they can not as the online order had not been cancelled as promised. (Just loving the service received here) Clearly the person who called was just telling me what I wanted to hear.... While in store I sat on the phone for 30 minutes, when I finally got a hold of someone they then emailed the warehouse to cancel the order as the person who phoned me on Friday promising it would be cancelled by 4pm had clearly done nothing.... Now I am phoneless and God forbid anything happen to me. Thanks again for nothing Vodacom!!! Think its time to move to another company....
