RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL CONSULTANT(WILFRED)
Vodacom store in Centurion Mall lost me as customer, I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE. I WAS DISRESPECTED BY A CONSULTANT NAMED WILFRED.
Got to the store found a lady next to a guy(Wilfred) greeted the lady.I then explained my query to the lady, as we were still talking, Wilfred budged into our conversation without greeting and introducing himself. First thing I asked him was "Whats your name" he answered he then asked me back "Whats your name" I answered then he proceeded to tell me that I need to wait for 3 months before I could be assisted with migration from one package to the other. He was totally wrong because I was enquring about setting usage limit with the lady as I thought my contracts, which were recently upgraded are not Top Up contract.
I must admit I was annoyed with Wilfred cos he was rude in not introducing himself and telling me wrong info, I was not shouting but firm with him, so he was firm with me too, you know giving back same energy, which I did not mind. Problem came when I reprimaded him for budging into my conversation with the lady as well as saying wrong things. He then said to me "You are rude". Also he was supposed to help me he said "if you dont want me to help you then get someone else to help you".
I asked him to call the manager for me, HE REFUSED. HE POINTED AT THE MANAGER FOR ME TO GO TO HIM. I went to the manager, his name is Tim. I asked Tim to walk with me to where Wilfred was standing. I then explained the story to Tim in front of Wilfred as I did not want Wilfred to think I fabricated the story. So when Tim asked Wilfred some things, he refused to answer him. I was so shocked to see Wilfred DISREPECT TIM IN FRONT OF A CUSTOMER & TIM'S OTHER SUBORDINATES. Wilfred said to Tim "I'll answer when it is just the two of us".
Maybe Wilfred thought I was rude, it's fine but does Vodacom not train their staff on how to deal with different type of customers? Some customers will come to store angry but there is way to treat that customer yet remain professional which Wilfred failed to do. Get this right, I was annoyed, not angry.I spoke to him in a firm manner because of his lack of etiquette,a simple greeting & intro, understanding customer's query before giving out wrong information.
Wilfred felt invincible when he treated me the way he did, no remorse at all. The lady I approached first time in the store witnessed my interaction with Wilfred, she heard everything. I told Tim that if the lady is honest & has intergrity, she will tell the truth of what transpired. This happened on Tue, 12/04/22 around 18:43.
