Rosenamk Mall service
Good day
I received my phone yesterday and today I walked into the Vodacom shop in the Rosebank mall to swop from pay as you got to contract. A lady by the name of Ruth ( eyebrows drawn on face) took my new device and started to do a sim swop without enquiring. After typing furiously on her keyboard she looked up and told me I need to pay R70 for the new sim. I then told her that there is a sim card that came with the device and that's where she totally lost it and insisted I pay. I advised her why do I have to pay the R70 when I have a sim in my possession and still insisted I am liable because I did not mention it to her. I then again advised her that it is a new contact and I already received a SIM. Another service consultant overheard our conversation and without saying a word jumped in and assisted me. I then went to the technical department where a gentleman gave me brilliant service with porting all my contacts to the new device.
I believe that Ruth should not deal with clients up until she go on a course to teach her the importance of a smile and how to deal with clients that are paying her salary.
I have been with Vodacom for over twenty years and have been accustomed to receiving brilliant and friendly service. Please address it directly with Ruth because of her attitude Vodacom might lose clients to CELL C, MTN and Telkom who would gladly accept my small R699 per month.
P.s . (thank you for the service lady that stepped in and the technical guy) Regards S. Sallie
