Robbing customers with incorrect billing

I upgraded my contract at the begining of this month (May), to a pre-ordered galaxy S8+, the contract was due for upgrade so I confirmed the order at R838 Pm. Before ending the call with sales consultant I confirmed with him that the only amount I will see on my bill at the end of the month will be R838, to which he rep**** "yes sir".

So here I am with a bill of R1098. Because I am being charged for 2 phones and after numerous calls with the call centre and the rude woman I spoke to inisiting that I am an idiot, they tell me that I am still paying for 2 phones because the actual contract end date has not passed.

How is it possible that I have been called and told that I am elieigible for an upgrade and now I am paying for two phones? I have upgraded many phones on the allowed period before the actual contract end date and have not encounted this billing issue.

This is the second issue I am having with Vodacom this month, for the premium they charge, their accounting and customer s****s are disgusting .

This is an abstract from Vodacom's T&C's:

"If you have signed up on a 24 month contract you will be eligible for upgrade on the 22nd month of the 24 month contract.

- If you have signed up on a 36 month contract you will be eligible for upgrade on the 34th month of the 36 month contract.

- Kindly keep a copy of this quotation and supporting documentation for future reference.

- Only one upgrade in a 24-month period is permitted. Any additional upgrades during that period will be charged at the full retail price."

Can Vodacom please sort their problems out!!!
