Roaming a Joke

Where to start, tried to activate SMS roamer by sending Roamon to 31050 –( Done numerous times before) This time received SMS back saying “You do not qualify to use this product please call 111” ok so decided to go with normal roaming (flight boarding running out of time) even tried the old number Roamon to 123 did not work. Due to me being a top up customer Roaming is automatically enabled – Arrived in UAE received an SMS saying Vodacom’s welcomes you …etc You’re roaming on the Vodafone World Plan on network DU etc… tried to send an SMS not working but I can make calls OK Contacted + ********** to try and fix my SMS issue, first operator brilliant service even gave me his personal number to test my SMS service. Unfortunately we had to end to call to switch the device off and reboot, did not work. Contacted call Centre back this time a new operator suggested that Roaming is either Voice or SMS and not both …. JOKE….(does not even know own services) and that Vodacom does not have a SMS agreement in place with UAE - Website saying otherwise, but if I switch on SMS Roamer sms’s will work 100% (SMS being better than voice Cost Factor) So I agreed to go ahead, asking numerous time’s would I be able to contact them back on + ********** , “yes they rep****” rebooted the phone - Nothing , voice is now blocked, cant receive calls and STILL can’t send SMS’s. Can’t reach contact center via cell or even hotel landline Contacted the first operator back via his personal cellphone via landline, he again brilliantly assisted me to remove SMS roamer so that at least I have some way of Communicating back home, told me to reboot the phone within 15 min and normal roaming should be restored, brilliant it worked. Woke up the next morning and now cant connect to any of the Local Networks, what now Vodacom? Maybe I should move providers for better service.
