I bought my siblings phones ,it was a buy one get one free . The one was contract the other was prepaid. I was paying R104 a month for 24 months. My siblings never used the sim cards. So at the end of the contract I had to do a sim swap so I can cancel the contract. When I called to cancel,I spoke to a guy named Webster he told me that he had a good deal for me instead of canceling my contract I should get a sim card only contract that consists of R55 airtime and 25mb at only R45 a month and I will not pay anything extra. He even said I can quote him or even call him if I'm charged more. The 1st mouth after that I was debited R39 and 2nd it was R374..... I was amazed so I called vodacom . I spoke to Musa who told me that 'my contract' was a open line not a top up and the my next bill was R1272.29 needless to say I got upset the asked him to send the call recording which he agreed and he was going to escalate (whatever that means) my query since then I had called vodacom numerous times requesting the recording of the call with Webster some promise to get it to me same "they are not allowed to send it out". Last I heard from vodacom I was owing R2289.96 and since the day I 1st called I took out the sim card but my bill is increasing even when I am not using it. oh!!!! one consultant told me that Webster never change my contract it is still the one I took back in 2015.So is it my fault that Webster did not do what he said to do? I asked does it make sense that I have a contract for 2 years paying R104 then suddenly run out a bill of R2289.96.
