Ridiculous service

I received a call from Chat Online towards the end of April 2024 regarding an upgrade of the above-mentioned contract cellphone number, and unfortunately it was not as per our agreement and therefore would like to have the upgraded contract terminated with immediate effect and retain my no.

The agent that contacted me regarding an upgrade conveniently never mentioned that the upgrade would be for 36 months, and furthermore she promised that i would get Huawei nova 7 with the retail value of plus minus R12k as per our telephonic conversation. I learned later on the 1st of May that my cellphone contract has been extended for another 3 years, and also discovered that the cell phone i was supposed to get was Vivo Y7 of which it's not the phone i was promised. To add salt to the wound I didn't even get the so-called Vivo Y7 which costs plus minus R5k.

I went to Vodacom Head Office at Vodaworld to file a complaint and they gave me forms and a no ***4 to call Chat Online, I called and spoke to the lady and while I was still explaining my predicament the connection was lost. I tried calling again several times, and the following day but to no avail hence I resorted to email correspondence.

I implored them to listen to the call recordings that initiated this whole saga and do the right thing, because according to me the contract is null and void as it was concluded under false misrepresentation.

I have sent all the necessary forms asked from me to the relevant email that which I was promised feedback within 14 days, the mail was sent in January 2025 today we are in May!!!!

I have been with Vodacom for a good number of years, to be exact since 2007 and it is very disappointing that this is how they treat their customers. And mind you, I have sent several emails ,calls and an email to their complains email at ICASA to this day my query is not resolved. 1 year later.

Is this the kind of service Vodacom prides their self with?
