Ridiculous record tracking

I bought a modem from Vodacom for 2 years. I think it was November 2013 the Hammond Pole Attorneys gave me a discount to pay off my outstanding balance R957.93. The Attorneys then deducted from my cheque account the balance. After four months the attorneys contacted me again, already listed my name with the credit bureau. I asked the attorneys for a full statement of how much I owed and paid, they could not provide me with one. Today 8/4/2015 Vodacom hired a new attorney which demands the balance. I still have the sms with the reference number HP*** that confirms the settlement of the account.<br> <br> I am not going to be liable for what happened after the company deducted the amount from my account. the sms clearly stated a settlement not a payment. I am no happy with the company for listing my name and claiming I owe them money.<br> <br> Please help!
