Ridiculous downgrading fee
Last year I upgraded to a smart XL contract due to my starting my own business and needing the additional minutes to call customers.
My business has not worked out and I can now not afford the contract. Knowing this, I contacted Vodacom to downgrade to a contract that is still R400 a month, but within my affordability, only to be told that I have to pay over R2000 to downgrade the contract. I cannot afford this contract, why would I then be able to afford such a hefty downgrade fee?
This also makes no sense as I can get an iPhone 6 on a brand new contract for half what I am currently paying now so the cost of the phone cannot be the reason that is used to initiate such a ridiculous fee.
I already have to suffer the indignity of a failed business. By contacting Vodacom, I am trying to prevent payment issues
