Ridiculous attitude
I decided to cancel my contract with Vodacom. My contract expired on 10 April 2016.The terms and conditions require written notice of cancellation of contract. Vodacom does not have any facility or email where you can send a written notice of cancellation. I nevertheless cancelled my contract on 2 March 2016 (in writing, which they declined) as well as verbally on *** (Contract \Retentions\" department) on 7 March 2016 (both more than the 20 days' requirement). I gave notice that I need my phone to go on pre-paid on 10 April 2016 as I want to port my number to MTN. On 10 April 2016 my \"contract\" continued as if not canceled. After many harsh words to the call centre, the contract was finally cancelled & put over on pre-paid on 13 April 2016. NOW Vodacom declines the requests to port the number to MTN. NO REASON. Sms states that I should call the call centre. FUNNY PART: When I call the call centre it says that I exceeded my \"allowed calls\" and can only call again after 2 May 2016!! Ridiculous!! Vodacom cannot force people to remain customers!!! I need my number to be ported NOW! Vodacom is mala fide in their conduct to frustrate the port and I have nowhere where I can call!"
