Review of Vodacom Fibre- Extremely disappointing service

I hate to do this, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Vodacom Fibre, as the lack of communication and service has been nothing short of appalling.

I recently moved just down the road from my previous residence, and I informed Vodacom Fibre well in advance, as required. They instructed me to provide a one-month notice, which I adhered to. However, towards the end of the notice period, I was suddenly informed—without prior communication—that the previous tenants at my new address were still using the line, meaning my activation could only happen on March 7th. No one bothered to inform me about this earlier, leaving me without service for an extended period.

To make matters worse, I contacted Vodacom Fibre last Friday to ask if there was any interim solution, since I am paying for a service I am not receiving. They suggested a ****le, which they claimed would take 24 to 48 hours to arrange. It’s now been five days, and I have received zero communication from their side. No updates, no follow-ups—nothing. I had to call them myself, only to be told that I “should have received an email” (which I never got).

This pattern is frustrating and unacceptable. Every time I contact Vodacom Fibre, I get a new excuse, and I’m left in the dark, despite paying for a service that I cannot use. The lack of communication, follow-through, and overall customer service is appalling.

Vodacom Fibre, do better. How is it fair that customers are paying for a service they aren’t receiving?
