Returned item continues to be billed 14 months on.
On the 6th of June 2020 I went to Vodaworld in Midrand to cancel a data contract. I filed the necessary documents and was assured that the cancellation process would be speedily completed. 14 Months, numerous in person visits and countless emails later, this process has yet to be completed. Over this period I have been billed around R6000 for a product/service no longer in my possession.
The contract in question was linked to a account held in my fathers name. In April 2020, we started the process of transferring all the account held in my fathers name to his business. My father passed away on the 15th of June, 11 days after we cancelled the data contract.
The passing of my father necessitated the submission of additional documents for the completion of the transfer process. In the months leading up to November, I went to Vodaworld on numerous occasions to follow up on the progress of the contract cancellation and account transfer. No such progress was made.
On the 4th of November 2020 while at Vodaworld I was asked to resubmit certain documents (including my father's death certificate) to assist Vodacom in querying the progress of our requests. I have since then been to Vodaworld 20 times and written 33 emails to resolve these issues. The account transfer has been partially completed, yet we are still being billed for the data contract 14 months later. My last email was sent to Vodacom's legal collections department 2 weeks ago, to which I have not received a reply
I am at my wits end as to how to solve this issue. The amount of money and time I've spent trying to get this done is mind boggling. Can somebody please help.
