Return Policy for Vodacom is lie

On Sunday I got a phone on contract a Huawei Psmart. Initially i wanted a huawei P10Lite but the consultant advised that i take a Psmart because it has better camera quality, so i took the Psmart.

When i got home on Sunday obviously i activated my phone because i needed to use it, as i was playing around with the camera i was not impressed at all, it takes horrible pictures.I was mislead by the consultant, now i dont want the phone anymore and i want to return.

So, yesterday i went to the store and i was told i cant return the phone beacuse i opened it and its now activated, mind you i got the phone on Monday and returned it on Sunday, obviously i had to activate my phone to be able to use the features

It has only been a day and they could not take my phone,so what does this return policy mean?.

When i phoned the customer care, they said i must go back to the store and return it beacuse its not 7 days.

I am so confused, this is ridiculous.
