Retentions **** to get me to sign a new contract

I called on the *** to cancel my contract. After a long song and dance about how I was the perfect customer and Vodacom don't want to lose me they offered me a new contract with an iPhone 6 in space grey at a reasonable price so I decided to upgrade rather than cancel. The consultant even \checked\" to see if they have stock.. which he said they did. He then promised delivery in max 5 days. 7 days later I call Vodacom and told because I CHOSE a phone that is discontinued they cannot supply. Very little apology offer for the lies, no apology for not contacting me with the problem and no compromise offered I am told I would have to pay a higher price (for iPhone 6s) if I want that phone. Vodacom, its very unprofessional to lie to customers to retain them. I cannot believe this disgusting service. I am not impressed."

Reviewer Update

Not surprised at all. Three months down the line and another problem relating to the above. The contract I agreed to was for R200 airtime with a 1GB free data per month for the duration of the contract (free to not cancel my contract). As the iPhone 6 was sold out I was then migrated to an Iphone 6 SE which came with free screen insurance & an ADDITIONAL 2gb free data for 3 months. The consultant confirmed my 1gb free data bundle would still apply. 3 months down the line and my free 1gb data has been removed along with the additional 2gb data and to top it all off my R200 airtime is depleted as the phone used it for data. Great service Vodacom. Can't even fix your poor service delivery properly.
