On the 10th of November 2017 around 17:30, I went to Vodacom in Midrand boulders to do my sim swap, I couldn’t recall the last 5 dialled numbers. The lady by the name of Samie, advised me to go to police station and get affidavit which I did. On Saturday morning the 11th of November 2017 around 11:00 am, I went to the same Vodacom, I was in a queue and different lady called me to assist. I told her about affidavit and she asked me who gave me that advice then she called Samie, Samie told me that she was doing me a favour which I shouldn’t have told the other lady and she has been employed for only two months. She then asked the guy called Lucky to assist, to my surprise, Lucky told me that he can’t assist without 5 numbers unless I go to game store and get 5 new sim cards and give him money like 100 rand because his going to break the rules for me, he was also assisting another client who couldn’t recall all 5 numbers and requested money from him and 5 new sim cards. I didn’t understand why must we pay him for doing his job, I told him I’m going to expose him on social media for being un-professional and requesting people to bribe him for doing his job. I went to Vodaworld, told a lady who was very professional and she was also shocked because I have affidavit and she assisted me as soon as possible. Lucky does not value his job, on top of that, his venda friends visit him as they wish and he doesn’t even pay attention to his customers, he also left us without saying anything to answer his cell and he came back with lots of new sim cards of Vodacom.
