Request for email from Vodacom confirming that they did not receive the R240.00 for airtime on 3 July from Absa Credit Card.
On 3 July 2020 I used the "My Vodacom App"to buy R240.00 prepaid airtime with my credit card. I were not credited at Vodacom with the airtime but the transaction did go through on my Absa Credit Card. I contacted Vodacom on 3 July 2020 and explained the situation. The consultant told me to contact my bank and ask them to "give my money back" I then sent an email to *** on 7 July 2020. After a few emails I were informed that they cannot cancel the transaction before I provide them with information from Vodacom where they instructed me to cancel the transaction. I then lodged a complaint to *** on 20 July 2020 explaining everything and attached a copy of my credit card statement indicating the transaction with Vodacom on 3 July 2020. I received a reply that I must provide them with three bits of personal information, as asked for on the email, before they can proceed. I rep**** on the mail with the information, only to receive 2 extra emails asking for personal information. No contact was made with me from Customer Care of Vodacom. On 3 August 2020 I used the "Chat to Tobi" of vodacom to try and resolve my complaint. I were cut off a couple of times on the "Chat to Tobi"before I could start a chat with a lady called Alida. Before we could finish our chat I were cut off again. She called me later and I could explain my complaint to her. She told me, after also discussing it with her manager, that she cannot provide me with such a letter, they don't do that and that the bank know what to do. On Friday 7 August 2020 I went to the Vodacom Shop in Atterbury Retail and explained my complaint. I received friendly service but they could not resolve my complaint, but they did register a complaint direct with the data people at Vodacom. I received my ref number per SMS directly afterwards on Friday. On Monday 10 August 2020 I received a SMS from Vodacom informing me that my service ticket has been assigned to a support specialist for assistance. Later I received a SMS informing me that my service ticket has been closed. Thank you Vodacom. This morning Tuesday 11 August at 08:45 I received a SMS form Vodacom asking me to rate my experience with the Vodacom Support Team. My experience here is that Vodacom's customer care and support specialists are not there to assist rather to confuse. My question is what now, who can help, where is my money? AJ Hanekom
