Reported ****** - no explination

Two weekends ago my cellphone was cut on Saturday at 10:30am.

I was using my mobile phone as a GPS as I had just relocated and need it to get around absolutley everywhere. Suddenly, no signal. At first I thought okay possiblity of the signal being bad im the area I was driving through. I had to pull over to try get my phone working.

I recieved a sms saying that my sim card had been reported ****** and therefore my service had been suspended. I tried to contact Vodacom immediatley and had the displeasure of dealing with a absolutley incompitent call center agent. I explained my qwam, absolutley wasting my breath as this useless soul said they were offline. Whats new. 4 hours later and still getting lost without a GPS I managed to find my way to a mall.

I went into the Vodacom and explained to a lady what my problem was, her explination was "dit is van dat die swart mense die land oor gevat het" this is blatant ****** and I really could have done with ownership of the problem and not bringing up SA's touchy past. Surely appartheid is not to blame for my sim card erroniously being blocked? Am I incorrect?

I proceeded to call into Vodacom through out the day as the call center agents became increasingly lazy due to the conveniance of the system being offline. I must have been in contact with 8 consultants whom I had begged to please call me if they were to by some strange miracle ever come back online. Ofcourse, all of them agreed.

Fast forward 24 hours later without a mobile phone. I phone back, they are online. Nobody could return my call. Nobody.

I eventually asked Ms Attitude if she could escalate the matter for me as someone would have had to answer security questions on my behalf. I eagerly await a response.

Trying to buy additional data bundles? Nope. I am unable to do so as the sim still shows as blocked. Who does the onus lie with? Certainly it should not be the client. I want answers & surely I am entitled to them. I rated the call once I was done at the absolute lowest possible ratings, still no call.

You are toying with peoples lives Vodacom. I could have ended up in a far different situation with my mobile phone being my only life line.
