I upgraded my mobile contract on Sunday 29 March. I started setting up the new phone, and at some point it showed 29% battery power, so I put the phone on charge. When I next looked at the phone, the screen was blank. Nothing I did made the screen work. The phone vibrates slightly as the charger is inserted or if it is switched on, but nothing appears on the screen. I emailed a query on Vodacom's site on Sunday night, and called the store on Monday morning. I took time off work on Monday afternoon to go and swap the phone, as per the clause in the contract which states they exchange the phone within the first seven working days for an out of box technical fault, but Nope - they have taken the phone in to see what is wrong with it.

So now.... How long will it take to fix or make a decision to repair... And then I have to go back to the store so that they can transfer my contacts et al to the new phone (assuming it gets replaced?).

Oh, and that call logged on the Vodacom site....still heard nothing from them......

Darn annoying, this is.
