Replacement device acc I*** disappointed
Hi beware of Vodacom misleading information that they strive to replace your handset device for one of same value of the insurance instalment that you pay as a customer,I lost my Huawei Y7 2019 in a smash and grab incident on 22 June 2019, I blacklisted the device and made the Saps case I then visited Vodacom retail in Centurion, they had a Huawei Y7 pro on their stock sheet, my indemnity cover was approved for 3600.00 I was advised by the sales rep that they donot have stock of Huawei Y7 pro which was valued at about 3399.99, I first asked the agent to check for stock in any other branches around Gauteng she returned with Oppo A15 in hand and advised me that they donot have stock and the phones are just ringing, she advised me to try the new Oppo A15 which valued at 2399.99 as they donot have stock anywhere, the twist in the tale is when I took initiative to contact Vodacom insurance directly, where the agent I was speaking to advised that they do indeed have stock but only if you buying the phone and not for insurance replacement purposes, this is shocking to me..I also overheared at the service desk next to me the sales rep advise another customer there is no stock of replacement devices and to settle for Oppo A15 I now truly believe this is a tactic used by Vodacom retail I intend on cancelling my insurance and may not buy from Vodacom retail ever again, consumers please beware of this smoke and mirrors gimmick before you become a victim
