To whom it may concern
On Saturday 10 Jan 2015 my Blackberry 9720 refused to charge and switch on (using the charger that has been supp**** with the phone the phone), left it at the Gateway Vodacom repair centre. Problems that I had experienced prior to that were that it should just switch off and start rebooting by its self.
Received a phone call on 20 Jan 2015 from Vodacom, listing damages on the phone, Vodacom suggested that pay R800+ for repairs, because damages on the phone were not included in the warranty.
Reviews stated similar problems with regards to the charging port being broken and phone switching off and rebooting on its own, on the following sites:
[URL Removed]
[URL Removed]
[URL Removed]

Kindly advise why I now have to pay for repairs on a phone that is known to have these faults, that sounds as if it has a manufacturing fault? If I do not repair the phone, I am still liable for payment of the remainder of the contract and not have a working cell phone, which is ridiculous.
