Repairs department - gave me back a phone with cracked screen

I do not often go and write such reviews, but I thought I need to bring this to everyones attention.

I bought a Samsung phone from Vodacom shop 124 in Tygervalley Shopping Centre in December 2016. Early in January, the phone stopped working. As it was only a month I took this phone back and the assistants told me they think this would be covered by the warranty.

Long story short, I got the phone back and when I got home it still wouldnt work. So I took this back for round 2.

When I got the phone back again, they presented a phone to me with the screen cover cracked. I was told that in the T's and C's they are not liable. I find this odd as when you hand in your phone, they mark off on a form where the scratches are etc on the phone. I was also not told about this. I thus refused to accept this and walked out of the shop.

Today, I called and spoke to the manager. She was very friendly and it appears she did then ask her boss what to do. I was called back to say they would not replace the screen cover. We are talking about a cost of R200 (sales price). The money for me is not the issue, but totally not the service I would expect.

When I have done business, I would have replaced the screen protector as the cost is probably about R50 and had a happy customer.

I am on a RED package and now am incredibly annoyed with this lack of service.

This has been reported to centre management at Tygervalley as well as I cannot shop in a place where this is the normal level of service offered to a customer.

It is amazing to note that a cost of such a small amount WILL result in moving away from VODACOM.

Disappointed!!!
