repairng my 9720blacberry

I took my blacberry 9720 in for repairs as it is still under warranty the charging point went inside the phone so I could not charge it any more we have 2 of the same phones same problem a week later they phone me and tell me I have to pay 1000 an something rand to fix the phone beacuse it do not fall under their warranty so what is their warranty acctuly for job nmbr ***213798 so please help!!DON'T TRUST VODACOM
