Repair contract - Paying for 8 months - Used phone for less than 2 months - being repeatedly repaired for 6 months and counting

I brought my Sony Experia AX from Vodacom Festival Mall on the 14th of June 2017. In Sept 2017, I took my phone back as it had brownish stains on the sides of the screen. Only to receive it back with the outside covers gaping open. We took it back to Festival Mall Vodacom, just to be told that they would have to send it back to Fourways Repair Centre. So we took it to Fourways ourself on a yesterday so they can close the covers while we did our shopping. Its October month now. (As every time it goes in, takes almost 2 to 3 weeks for the phone to return) Few days later, the back covers started gaping again. So we took the phone back to Festival Mall s they can send it away to Fourways, Again. End of November 2017 my phone goes to Fourways Mall repair centre aagain as the covers are still opening, Comes back again. Begining of December, my phone goes back to fourways , now they telling me that they will try and replace the battery as it might be the reason the phone keeps popping open. (which I was told they didnt ever replaced), I go on holiday without my phone I have been paying months for without any use. Late January 2018 we collect my phone from Festival Mall Vodacom, MY O MY, my phone's covers are still open, and I decide to switch it on and see if they fixed the stains, 6 months later and the original problem was never fixed. Brown stains on the screen + Covers that is open. Soooo I send it back and demand a new device. Got the sms from Fourways repair centre to say they received my phone, phone them two weeks later for an update on my phone, they tell me, "We received the phone this Morning", speak to the Manager, he promises me that they are getting me a refurbished unit, Which I am NOT happy about as I hardly used my phone and that I would be able to pick it up last week Thursday from Festival mall, Friday, still no phone at Festival. Phone them again , they tell me there was a back log and that I should be able to get my phone by Wednesday. I am so Disappointed in they way they handle repairs and their lack of communication to the customers regarding the repairs.
