Repair Centre/screen replacement

I upgraded my phone in May 2016 on a Vodacom contract to drop it and crack the screen 3 weeks later, according to my proof of purchase I had screen insurance. The day I went to upgarde i was not told about any insurance so was releaved when a friend pointed it out to me. I sent the phone in for repairs and was sent an estimate repair cost via sms daily for about a week. I was apparently not supposed to get this sms! The value on the estimate was for R3078, they wanted R750 as a excess. The insurance apprently only pays the first R2500 which if they offer screen insuance it should cover the repair cost otherwise why bother. I was then told that i needed to pay a R750 excess so that they can go ahead and complete the repair. That would mean that the repair cost would have had to have been R3250 as they cover the first R2500. Surely I am being overcharged! I have since found out that they do not repair the screens on a Huawei G8 they replace the phone. Why not just offer free insuance to replace the phone....

Dear Mr Snape

Your Hellopeter complaint refers.

This matter was escalated to Cellsure and the repair centre. Please note that in the event of a claim you need to pay R150 excess and the difference in the quote. This makes up the total that was submitted.

Should you require complete cover, you need to apply for Cellphone Cover.

Cellsure

I am now so disinterseted, the wheel is turning again an no one is taking responability! My original excess has now gone from R750.00 (Cellucity PE)to R150.00 from email and that I must still pay the difference between the repair cost and the insurance amount of R2500.00. I am so sick of Vodacom taking monies for services and not having the backbone to stand up and becounted. I have been sent another sms to collect my damaged phone almost a week after I COLLECTED IT!!

HELLO VODACOM, you got me by the short and curlies for another 20 months with this contract so for 20 months I will pay my dues, or be blacklisted. Between now and then I will be spreading the news...
