Refusing upgrades
So Vodacom does not allow upgrades to happen when you are under debt review. I have been a customer for just about 20 years! Now the contract has been part of my affordability plan and also not part of the debt review process. I am actually exiting debt review in a couple of months. This was however not due to affordability etc, purely because my salary was cut a couple of years ago. Never missed a single payment for any of my debtors. Now, I upgraded 3 contracts, every 3 times during the time that I was under debt review. My monthly contract fees are almost half of what I had paid a year ago and my company pays for all of them in any case. I upgraded 4 months ago in December. Now Vodacom does not want me to upgrade any of my other numbers. I will surely be canceling them (after they locked me in with quotes that need to be canceled first), you cannot cancel until a quote, and porting my main number very soon away from vodacom. When I am off debt review in a few months, Vodacom will be the LAST provider I will consider again!
