Refused to repair my phone under warranty and damaged my device

I booked in my Sony Z3 Compact for a display brightness and loudspeaker issue at Vodacom The Grove on the 29th of March 2017. The phone was still within the warranty as confirmed by the device itself. The phone was booked in in a relatively great condition considering its age, with no scratches on the screen, and a little bit expected of fair use wear. There were no dents or physical damage on the device as confirmed by the inspection sheet.

A few days later I received a shock SMS saying I need to pay a ridiculous figure to repair my phone. Upon further investigation, it turns out my phone was rejected for a warranty repair at the internal assessment centre due to "physical damage", and "dents" being present, confirmed twice in writing from Vodacom Repairs Potch.

They still refuse to repair the phone under warranty for the original faults as well as the chassis damage they caused. I want my phone to be properly repaired at their cost, or they must offer me the choice of a reasonable replacement device or refund. I will not accept a device back that was damaged in their care, and I will definitely not pay for what was a legitimate warranty claim for a device in pristine condition under warranty.
