Refusal to repair handset
Unfortunately my Vodacom cellphone account was with Nashua Mobile, who has closed down. They transferred their Vodacom clients to Vodacom direct.
My Samsung Galaxy SIII mini suddenly lost use of the external speaker (therefore no sound)
I gave the phone in at the Liberty Midlands Mall vodacom repairs in Pietermaritzburg, 1,5hrs drive from where I live. Just to return a few weeks later to be told it is not a vodacom handset.
I then returned about two weeks later with the proof of purchase stating that it is a vodacom contract & handset.
The phone was sent away for repairs with this information.
When I returned a few weeks later to collect my phone after receiving an sms stating that my Job no. ***9 is ready for collection, I was AGAIN told it is not a vodacom handset, therefore nothing was done to repair the handset. And I drove 1,5hrs just to be turned away with NOTHING done!
The lady who assisted me in the vodacom repairs shop just shrugged her shoulders and said sorry.
What am I supposed to do with a permanently silent phone (that I am still under contract with) and the service provider isn't interested in helping me!?
Am I supposed to stop paying as they stopped servicing??
