Refusal to exchange upgrade phone

I upgraded my Vodacom contract on Sunday June 4th at Vodacom Mall of Africa but realized on Monday iPhone 7 does not meet my tech needs. I tried to exchange it at same store yesterday for iPhone 7 Plus and staff said they're unable to assist as I need to discuss with store manager who had already left store for the day. I went there again today and the manager Chade da Costa was unhelpful to the point of being antagonistic, not considering or offering any solutions.

As a Vodacom customer of many years I expect a compromise. The phone is brand new, in original packaging and I'm not asking for a refund but an exchange. I'm willing to go onto the next more costly package if needed. I'm not however willing to take out a second contract in order to obtain iPhone 7 Plus.

The CPA allows clients to have a cooling off period and return an item. Vodacom's policies, regardless of their contract points, does not override this.
