Refund money you did not earn.
Ported Vodacom number on 9 Jan 2021. Contact expired months ago. 22 Jan 2021 Vodacom agent contact me for upgrade and stated a number which I had no knowledge of that was taken out on 9 Jan 2018. Vodacom agent suggested that I contact ***** as I had no knowledge of this number. ***** department stated that this number was not registered on my name. 1 Feb 2021 full debit order was deducted from account. Contacted customer care as to why the full amount was deducted and pro-rate due to porting. Customer care suggested again that I contact ***** department. Corresponded with ***** department via email with reference EC-16BO-3DV46V. In the email I demanded a refund. 27 Feb 2021 full debit order deducted. Rep**** on the email for an update on the case and demanding a full refund.
Visited Vodacom branch where I contacted ***** stating that the case was closed as 1 document was not sent. The previous agent did not disclose the full requirements, but the ***** agent did have a glance at the case and said that it was due to porting that Vodacom issued a new number. The shop assistant should lodge a dispute for a refund and to change to a pre-paid account. The shop assistant spoke to the ***** department for a step by step on how the case should be handled. On 27 Feb 2021 the shop assistant provided me with a Vodacom service request number ***. Also stated that a debit order will be deducted at end of March 2021.
Today is 9 May 2021 with no correspondence from Vodacom regarding the refund. Case was also closed with no reason.
