Recycling numbers by Vodacom becomes customers problems.

I just left Vodacom South Gate branch very unhappy with the service from the manager who try to make Vodacom's problems mine. This past Thursday I went to get a contract for myself and for my wife but I was told that because is for the first time after many years not having a contract I can take one contract which I did. Sibongile the consultant who was so professional from when I first phone the store and even when I got to the store, she opened the boxes so I see that everything is in there and working. I left the store happy but before I could get home the new phone started ringing and I asked myself why because no one knows this number, when I got home a massage came through from a debt collectors and that made me go back to the store to ask why this. I was told that Vodacom is recycling old numbers and my question was where do I fit in to all this, why was I given the number that belong to someone else? Sibongile told me that she will fix it and I left with my phone on that Friday. Saturday morning I went to ask why it is not fixed as I've been getting calls from people I don't know and when I use the same phone to call it appears to be register by Lizaan K who I don't know. Sibongile told my she is sorry abouth everything but she cannot help me as the manager is not in but she will call me first thin Monday morning. Today is Monday no one called me as they promised, I had to phone to find out and the managers kept on blaming the system. I left them with the phone and I will not pay a contract that I'm not happy with. I have used Vodacom for more that 20 years and I kept on defending the brand as if I worked for them, today they show me who they are. Vodacom only care about getting customer to sign not to make them happy. I hope to hear from someone who can help solve this problem. Desmond ***
