Reconnect issues - how long is 24 hours for VODACOM?

Vodacom tried to put a debit order through twice on the same day. The bank rejected the second transaction. Vodacom cancelled my debit order. I was never informed.

Sure, I was supposed to double check my info, but it was a bad month - my father had a stroke, and subsequently passed away. Then to find out my line debit order has been cancelled. Went to Vodacom shop, tried to re-instate it in-store. Was told to call 111. Went that route.

Eventually line was disconnected. I went in to the store, paid upfront, requested info as to when line would be reconnected. Was told it could not be done as my account was tagged "pre-legal", had to phone customer collections ********** .

1 Augusut 2017: I called this line SO MANY TIMES, that the Vodacom call centre refused my calls, electronically informing me that a consultant would call me back as soon as possible. When I eventually got through (by calling 111 and asking to be transferred) - I was told that the system would automatically reconnect me within 24 hours.

2 August 2017. Called ********** SO MANY TIMES - was informed that my line would be reconnected within 2 hours (which would have my line restored at 10:12; 12:40; 14;55, 17:20 respectively) and the it could not be done since the staff of that department had left for the day. Calls to 111 resulted in me being transferred to an automatic survey - for which they received "0" for every category.

3 August 2017. ********** has blocked my number so completely, that the staff at 111 could not transfer my calls through to custormer collections. When a wonderful representative eventually managed to get me through, the answer was (you guessed it!!) the line would be reconnected "within 2 hours". This attempt to go through 111 to get to customer collections carried on all through the day, as my number remained blocked throughout the whole day. I was told that I was lying by 4 different "collection agents" about my inability to make the call. At this stage, I had been phoning from my office line, and had the speaker on my cell phone - getting them to listen to the automated message informing me that my line was rerouted and that I had to call (you guessed it!!) ********** ...

4 August 2017: In the hope that the system had purged itself of its dislike of my 14-year old Vodacom cell number, I started on my fourth round of Vodacom 24 hours. Once again, my call was denied by ********** , but I managed to get through to 111 by dialing 082111 on my office number. When I requested information on the reconnection time of my line, I was informed that it could not be done through customer services, since (oh, the shock, the horror) my account was STILL tagged "PRE LEGAL" and could not be re-instated. I had to be transferred to Customer Collections once again. The *********** on the line this morning was quite surprised that my line was blocked, since it had been "cleared" on the system since TUESDAY 1 AUGUST 2017. ***???? When requesting more information on the matter, the call was disconnected and I received a text message from Vodacom informing me that "Your Network Synchronization has been activated. blah blah blah.

Coming from a Customer Service background myself, I have NEVER in ALL MY LIFE encountered SUCH *********** AND BAD SERVICE - EVER!!!!!!!

I would like to know WHERE the e-mail communication was sent to? I monitor my e-mail constantly, and have received NO communication from you. Unfortunately, Hello Peter does not have a rating less than that which I already gave - I would most gladly review my rating of your service - TO A LOWER LEVEL....

Once again, you are making the client out to be the ****.
