Reasons Why I'm Going With Cell C Instead of Vodacom...

<p>...over and above the fact that Cell C is much cheaper. I have been trying (in vain) for weeks to take out a new contract with Vodacom. Here's why this has been virtually impossible;</p> <p> </p> <p>1. Initially tried to do this online through the Vodacom website. After spending a lot of time finding the package that was right for me, I finally picked one when suddenly the website crashed and couldn't be accessed again for hours.</p> <p>2. I tried phoning the call centre to find out what documentation would be needed as I had now decided to simply go to the store to take out the new contract. I was on the phone for nealy fifteen minutes listening to the same annoying, repetitive music, being transferred from operator to operator but never actually getting through to anyone. I eventually gave up.</p> <p>3. My second attempt at doing this online also failed as, after going through the motions, I was told that becuse I am already an existing prepaid Vodacom customer, the process cannot be completed online. There was, however, an option to get a consultant to call me back which I selected.</p> <p>4. I have still not received a call from Vodacom. It's been three weeks.</p> <p>5. I have tried calling the Eastgate store to enquire about stock and again, what documentation I would need, but the phone simply rings without being answered.</p> <p> </p> <p>Clearly Vodacom is very happy with their existing client base and is not interested in new business, so I will be taking mine elsewhere.</p>
