Reapeted *****ulent sim swaps and sim ports on Vodacom number
My husband's number was *****ulently ported to Cell C last week. We called Vodacom. The lady who assisted said it would be ported back to Vodacom by today, Wednesday 16 October, after which my husband should get a new sim card and do a sim swap. When we try to do a sim swap, we're told the number was ported back to Cell C yesterday. I called the call center twice and the agents both dropped the calls on me because I was frustrated.
This is about the 4th time in a space of 2 months that we have to do a sim swap on his number because the previous times there have been *****ulent sim swaps. There are zero security checks at Vodacom's call centre, to ensure the safe keeping of client information and records. No one asks you for any security questions in order to verify who's actually calling, therefore anyone, including *****sters, can just call the call center and ask for sim swaps or sim ports and the agents will just do it.
DO NOT USE VODACOM as your service provider. It's not safe at all. *****sters are having a field day and Vodacom, through it's staff, doesn't give a damn. They can't even give you a reference number after a call, nor can they trace any previous calls you may have made, so there's no following up on any matters.
